This morning felt different, like winter is knocking on the door.
The leaves are falling fast, and snow has already graced the peaks last week.
I started pulling the ski stuff from storage. Ski season could start next week or next month. But for now, we ride until the fat lady sings.
This is my favorite time of year for photos. The low angled sun married with impending winter creates such drama.
And its just a great time to ride a bike.
Wildlife seems very active knowing what lies ahead
The other morning mr. bear decided to let himself in our car and eat a box of Eszter's riding food. Apparently the handles on Honda's are not bear proof. Guess we should start locking our car.
Monday was my birthday, and I celebrated by a solo pedal on strand with a refreshing beverage and a brownie from the girls at work. It was a magical ride.
Thanks to all that have bought me birthday beers at the Brick the last three nights.... tonight I am giving the liver a break.
I love the change in the weather and the brilliant light in the evening. I also really appreciate riding my bike on trails that soon will be buried under several feet of snow. Every ride becomes precious because of that notion that any ride could be the last for the year.
Cheers,
Chris
If you store food in the car you might as well leave the car unlocked, the bears will break in regardless and an open door allows less damage.
About an inch of fresh here this morning with a little more due tonight. Winter is knocking.
Nice photos.
