End of Season

This weekend marked the official end of summer.  In Crested Butte it is celebrated with Vinotok.  Crazy hippies.   

Eszter has been struggling to get her mojo back after TD though she has still been able to get out and enjoy the fall colors

My weekend photog gigs have ended as events have ended.  I have to say, I am pretty happy to be commitment free on the weekends for a bit.  

Enduro at Doctor's Park last weekend

After a good ride at the Vapor Trail, I decided to give the Crested Butte classic a go.  I have done the race coverage the past two years, and this year I gave Eszter my camera as I lined up to race.  She is getting pretty good with the camera! Her race report/pix can be found here.

Shawn had a great ride

It really hurt.  I did not have my best ride, but finished under 10 hours.  I have not lined up for it it since we moved here, so it was great just to give it another go.  The dirt road climbs were absolutely miserable, but I still really enjoyed all of the singltrack of Strand, Deer Creek, 403/401, and Dyke.  My legs screamed with pain, but blasting through aspens still put a smile on my face.  

This race was the last for me this season.  I don't race a lot, but I was pretty happy with my season.  

I look forward the last rides before the snow flies, save the best for last!
