The Aspens are turning gold and there is a smell of fall in the air.
View of the Slate Valley where we are camping.
Eszter has been struggling with a stomach bug. Seems like we both have ran ourselves into sickness at some point over the summer.
In fall things slow down a bit here, its time to take a moment and enjoy where we are

We have been getting a bit of rain, the weather pattern is certainly getting out of summer mode.
As the days get shorter we ride into the sunset, and carry a coat for the temperatures are resembling fall
Tim rides into the sunset
I have been fortunate enough to ride a test bike that is built for drops and steeps. After CTR I have been riding downhill at the mountain and some big descents around the valley with a little different attitude than my 8 hour non-stop must-get-fit-for-CTR rides.
With a little more free time I am starting to work on some projects that I have put off all summer.
Riding a bike is as much as an art form as film or photography. For this project I filmed myself, which is kind of silly or even considered vain. It has been hard to line up people to ride the bike that I needed to shoot because of schedules, etc., so I decided to do it myself. While it took some effort because it meant running up and down the hill turning the camera on/off, it gave me total control. What it lacks is camera movement, but I was able to frame every shot exactly how I wanted it. It was also a good excuse to ride some rowdy descents at sunset. It was a fun opportunity to share a peak into my world, how I ride. The ad that I placed in the the beginning it pretty funny contrasted with me riding.
Enjoy the video and happy fall!
Cheers,
Chris
