Shawn Gregory on my last big ride .
This summer has blown by. Between Landscaping, Photography for the paper, videos for tourism and some media for mountain bike publications sometimes I feel as if I never have a day 'off.' No wonder I have not posted on this blog all summer. Getting shots can be stressful, but other times I am drinking a beer at a bluegrass festival while 'working.' Landscaping has been really enjoyable for me, it's a zenful break from the computer not to mention it gives me a strong core for the bike. I have sneaked some big rides trying to prepare for the Colorado Trail. Yes, I will be undertrained. Hopefully those long ski tours did something for my endurance. Maybe laying flagstone will help me stay strong on the bike for 500 miles....

Its nice to have a day job that is also a creative outlet. I am really enjoying it.
For photograhy, I have been going to events that I would not normally go.
Going to the rodeo
Sneaking out for a ride, with mr. bear
Unfortunatly I have been sick the past week. I can't ride hard, so I figured it was a good time to gather media for a demo bike that I am piecing a video together.
Two short edits:

Downhilling on the same bike
I should have a complete edit... at some point.
It has been a busy summer, but I LOVE Crested Butte in the summer. Afternoon rain, late evening bike rides, working under the sun and simply living the dream.
Cheers!
Chris

That is too bad you have to commute in such conditions! Ouch, just painful to think of your misery. Sad really that some people get all the luck, you know 2hours on the 405 crawling north in a filthy concrete canyon. Surrounded by like minded wild life, unfortunately not an endangered species!
