A Rough Life

I was pedaling home this afternoon when I thought back to my day and realized: Man, I've got a rough life.

 

To start, we've been trying to save on heating bills, so mornings have been a little bit nippy.  We also can't plug in our white-noise maker, so we've had to use a real river to make due.

The commute to work has a lot of traffic.  Sometimes it's grid lock.

At work, I have to pedal my bike up steep hills with what I think could be the next crop of kick ass mountain bikers.  At the top of the hill, we have to go down the other side.  Doctors is a pretty rough trail to have to ride for work.

The commute home follows a lot of narrow pathways.

It's crucial to keep an eye out for oncoming traffic.

It's rough.  And I may get soaked on the way home this afternoon, but it is so worth it.

That is too bad you have to commute in such conditions! Ouch, just painful to think of your misery. Sad really that some people get all the luck, you know 2hours on the 405 crawling north in a filthy concrete canyon. Surrounded by like minded wild life, unfortunately not an endangered species!
